Coronavirus Response
Over the past few days, our society has been hit with several closures, policies, and changes. There are several localities working on implementing emergency funding. Over the course of the next two weeks, I will attempt to keep you up to date with some resources I come across. One resource I came across within the Atlanta area is the partnership between United Way of Greater Atlanta and Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta which consists

of the two Atlanta philanthropies to create the Greater Atlanta COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund.
The new fund will be utilized to support those within the Atlanta area who are most vulnerable to the economic and health-related consequences of the coronavirus outbreak. The Community Foundation has committed to $1 million and the United Way of Greater Atlanta has committed to $500,000 to the fund. The funds will be allocated to local organizations throughout the area to provide relief to the citizens in the Atlanta area.
It is time for us all to come together to alleviate this issue. It will take for all organizations from the private to the public entities to work together to get us all back on track and in a favorable place where our citizens are able to eat healthy foods, handle their bills, save money for rainy days, be social in a physical capacity again, etc.
Please share any resources you come across that will be helpful in your state. Once received, I will add to a resource list and post it for all to view and have access to it.
Have a blessed day everyone. Remember to be kind to your neighbor, reach out to your family and friends, and show love and compassion.
