Happy Wednesday, and yep, I will re-iterate it is already almost the weekend. So, over the past couple of months. I have been paying close attention to government entities on the local, state, and federal levels. In addition, I have come across a couple of foundation grant opportunities which are less red tap. Please see the two foundation grants below:


Foundation Grant Opportunities:

The Lennar Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that address the needs of communities where company employees live and work, with emphasis on Miami, FL. The Foundation focuses its grants on organizations that assist people who are less fortunate and that are providing these people with an avenue to enter into the mainstream of society. Specific areas of interest include:

  • at-risk children and youth;

  • elder care;

  • education;

  • health, including medical research;

  • affordable housing;

  • social services; and,

  • hunger and homelessness.

to see the foundation's 990 and to learn how to submit. Priorities: various The Ecolab Foundation contributes to communities in which the company's associates live and work. About two-thirds of the Foundation's grants are given to organizations and programs that are located in the St. Paul, MN, metropolitan area. The balance of grants is given to organizations where divisional headquarters or manufacturing facilities are located. These include:

  • City of Industry, CA;

  • Jacksonville, FL;

  • McDonough, GA;

  • Clearing, Elk Grove Village, Joliet, and Naperville, IL;

  • Huntington, IN;

  • Garyville, LA;

  • Greensboro, NC;

  • Ellwood City, PA;

  • Irving/Fort Worth, Garland, and Sugar Land/Fresno, TX;

  • Martinsburg, WV; and,

  • Beloit, WI.

The Foundation's priority areas include the following:

  • youth and education, including programs that promote youth development, particularly for at-risk youth;

  • civic and community development, including affordable housing, work readiness, crisis assistance, and hunger relief;

  • environment and conservation, including hands-on environmental learning programs; and,

  • arts and culture, including arts education for children and youth as well as support for museums and the performing arts.
