Full Job Description: The Marketing Specialist at Copart will be responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns and content across a variety of channels. This person will need to develop a deep understanding of the market, analyze trends to help define the organization's content marketing strategy, and strategize opportunities to drive conversions. As the primary copywriter on the Marketing Team, the Marketing Specialist must be able to write high performing content for a variety of digital mediums quickly, often under pressure, while adhering to the brand and copy guidelines set forth. Being responsive to feedback, being able to quickly learn the nuances of the automotive industry, and have a desire to roll up sleeves and churn out mass amounts of high quality and SEO-rich content at a fast pace is critical for this role.

  • Lead content marketing efforts for domestic and international Copart brands and sites

  • Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. product and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives

  • Write, proofread, and edit large volumes of SEO-rich content, including titles, descriptions, content for landing pages, etc.

  • Produce professional competitive analyses for various markets

  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns

  • Optimize existing content to increase natural search performance

  • Perform keyword research and analysis

  • Develop and execute strategies to build backlinks

  • Provide extensive reporting of SEO progress through the use of data and analytics tools, including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, AuthorityLabs, Moz, and ahrefs

Assist in preparation of presentations, correspondence, metrics, charts, tables, and graphs Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, English or liberal arts

  • Solid editing and proofreading skills

  • Understanding of search engine optimization

  • Strong attention to detail

  • 2+ years of digital copywriting experience

  • Content portfolio

  • Knowledge of keyword research tools like Moz, ahrefs, SEMrush or similar

  • Basic HTML

  • Experience with a content management system

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics

  • Experience with MS Office Suite -- primarily Excel & PowerPoint

Automotive industry experience a plus Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday


  • Bachelor's (Required)


  • Digital Copywriting: 2 years (Preferred)

  • HTML: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Content management systems: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Google Analytics: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
